Everyone play nice and enjoy the Hambone whining despite Bottas getting screwed. sir lulu needs some cheese to go with his whine. :-)

someone who knows the technical regs help me out. They changed the right side drive shaft because of damage. could have they changed the left side drive shaft without a penalty?

It was a joke. Didn't notice the laughing emo, eh? Sorry you have no sense of humor.
Neither is your 'imaginary engine damage' bullshit a smart quip, but it IS a joke.
I do not have a sense of humor, yes. And you know everything, so therefore, no one else who watches a race is allowed to have an opinion or discuss technical issues. Apparently, you're a next level troll who doesn't want anyone else to enjoy racing. Fuck-off and leave me alone. I don't know everything. I just don't care to be called stupid.

I'm not sure, but I think they would have incurred a penalty if they could not show it was damaged. And according to Ferrari the damage was not visible.
I am however, unlike some here, perfectly willing to be wrong. And not get pissy about it.

^^ I'm a bit like Einstein. What I know I'm pretty good at. For me it's quality control in a machine ship. Or WW1 history. But maybe half the time I'm wrong. As Einstein was. I admit it and move on. :-)

I suspect they could - however, if the LR driveshaft was permanently connected to the gear of the Diff in the gearbox, it may have been considered part of the gearbox. Can't think of a real reason for it to be permanently attached to the Diff gear.

I know there was talk about RBR having issues under pressure, especially Max, but it seems that Mercedes-Benz is under pressure, and may be cracking a bit, too. I can see it maybe going back and forth all season unless one or the others hits a big streak.

In motor racing nothing matches the podium ceremony at Monaco. They don't play a tape. They have a live band doing the music

Forgive me for saying this but that was a really boring race.
A quick question and this may have been answered but I haven't looked through this thread, but why didn't everybody move up one when Charles couldn't start?

^ I would give this race a rating of 2 out of 10 plus 3 points for all of the painful whinging from Hamilton for a final rating of 5.

The quick answer is because the regulations. The grid box is always left empty of the missing man if a car cannot get "itself" to the grid.

Hated seeing Leclerc DNS. Loved seeing Sainz on the podium. Thoroughly enjoyed Bottas pitstop fail and Lewis effectively lose a position through strategy in the race while Vettel gained 2 positions through brilliant strategy. Bet Lewis is going to be pretty animated in the post race Team debrief. Shout out to the Marching Band playing the anthems live. One other thing, the winners trophy case is nicer looking than the trophy.

But the term goes back much further than him. And yet they sill got a 2nd place. As did the Mercs. The really screwed the pooch. As did sir lulu. Sir lulu blew the undercut on Gasley. Then he let Vettel make the overcut work. I give it at least a 8 out of 10. No yellow flags. No red flags. So no game of chance played out where someone moves way up or down because of a crash or whatever. Near as I could tell Lance was the only guy to rub a barrier. Passing is over rated.
