I'm on episode 4 and I noticed they made a big thing of Kyvatt standing for the anthem in Russia. I was curious if they would cover Hamilton's hypocrisy of telling everyone to protest anthems and then missing them later in the season.

As far as I can tell, every episode is full of weird editing, for example with comments included during Qualifying that were obviously spoken during FP, etc. Thanks for that streamable. I was wondering about that when I saw it on the show. I didn't remember it taking so long for Charles to respond in real time, and sure enough ... They change things up to make it as dramatic as possible, even when the actual events are pretty dramatic on their own. That's Hollywood for you, always fixing what ain't broke. I posted it over on Autosport, and they're eating it up. They've already been hammering on all the weird editing and on Buxton's punchability, etc. |

It's a TV show, not "fly on the wall" documentary. The Drive to Survive cut of the the Leclerc crash is much better from a drama point of view. That is what the series is about, drama.

He's a POS. The We need to talk about Ferrari episode where he wants Seb to admit that Ferrari was cheating and he is all on his horse about integrity or something. My understanding is that the FIA couldn't prove Ferrari was cheating, which is why they had their secret settlement where Ferrari lost horsepower. I also sort of forgot about DAS and the Tracing point scandal which it is actually crazy that the F1 let both Merc and TP get away with cheating. |

Of course it's only semi truthful. Even if they appear contemporary to the action all the studio shots with Buxton are done after the season and probably reshot until they are unctuously correct. Buxton is now important enough that his facemasks sport his own WB embroidered logo. |
