I would take Chicagoland, but before Indy. Take a race away from Detroit to make it work. Did you mean after Indy? because you mentioned taking a race away from Detroit? No IMO we need an oval race before Indy every year. Has Detroit even signed up for next season?

Give Chicagoland the Indy road race date. Detroit? Maybe leave it alone, maybe move one race to Cleveland airport later in the season.

In this case, I would call up Michael Shank for a possible merger and go full-time.

So they're figuring out that the broadcast crew has a bearing on NASCAR's ratings.

Funny. The crew might be better than the racing...

Funny. The crew might be better than the racing... At Daytona that is definitely true. Chicagoland was a good race though.

On TV Laguna is slightly more exciting to watch than Snoreoma. After last year's "race", that's not saying a lot. I'm sure seeing them in person would give me a different perspective, but like a vast majority of fans, only see them on TV. Detroit. If not for Penske's "giving back" to his hometown, it would have been done in 17 years ago. Meanwhile places like Cleveland and Edmonton sit empty. Cleveland is gone, seemingly, because Tony George couldn't figure out how to make a working schedule. Not much has changed there, "Let's add XYZ oval track, do no advertising, change the date every single year making the timing and weather worse each time, then blame the fans when we get rid of it."
