Almost looks like a well-prepared WRX STI would have taken pole today I thought Mayländer had a shot in the Safetycar but he didn't finish the lap before Q1 resumed.  |

Congratulations to Hamilton, 7 WDC. Also shows worn slick Intermediates are faster than 'fresh' inters - at least this day. Stroll got fresh inters and dropped like a rock. |

Even if Strolle stayed out Lewis still would've drove past him. I don't think there was anything they could do to beat Lewis today. He wasn't fast until around the halfway point unless he was holding back all weekend. |

Lewis found a way to drive 80% of the race distance on intermediates that had worn to slicks at about the same rate as the track was drying out and he was able to keep it on track when reality said he should be spinning into the tulips. |
