Leclerc was 2nd in Austria. It's a tie, then! Highest up the list any piece of Vettel's Ferrari has been for sure.

I watch very little of the sunday fiasco. There's still bike racing going on. The 3 week tour of Spain. The Vuelta. On sunday they pedaled thru the mountains of Alonso's home area. And climbed the Angliru. a 12 k climb with parts at 24 percent. That's 24 feet vertical for 100 feed on the road. And the winner wasn't a forgone conclusion since last January. :-) Today they had a time trial. The last 3 or 4K uphill at grades of 28 percent. Hell, I couldn't walk up a hill that steep. :-) I don't know what I'm gonna watch when the race in Turkey is on the tube. Bike racing is pretty much done. :-) The last weekends stages running thru the Asturias were absolutely stunning for the visuals.

I have trouble with a 1% grade...

What those cyclists can do seriously boggles my mind... I have trouble with a 1% grade... They are all doping. Well maybe but alot of it for the front guys is that they weigh 120 pounds soaking weight and don't have 5 ounces of fat anywhere on their bodies. For the speed burner guys it's also about muscles but they are weighing alot closer to 200 pounds and they are literally bringing up the rear of the peleton if they can even hang on to it. What surprises me when I watch is the guys who can stay on the front of the Peleton, the main group, for 20 30 even 40 minutes at a time without needing a break and those guys can be going along at 30 to 50 mph like it's a Sunday drive...amazing the stamina those guys have.

The record for the Angliru was set in 99. Doping for sure. Sundays winner was between 1 & 2 minutes slower. Roglic got dropped. And Carapaz finished off the podium but he made 10 seconds on Roglic and got the red jersey. Some of the clips are prolly on youtube. Check it out. :-)

I hope not, that brings back the spectre of the past with all the problems and suspensions and the public not being able to trust any result from any race. I know there's ALOT of money going on and that's encourages cheating etc but I HOPE the testing is catching most of the cheaters AND keeping up with the new ways of cheating!! Do they test F1 drivers for drugs periodically?

IMHO, There is No Way a 'Clean' athlete can ride these mountain stages without collapsing from exhaustion! Doping has been the way from the very beginning!

Have to agree - subjecting the human body, no matter how well trained, to the challenges of the month long 'tours' meets the definition of cruel and unusual punishment.
