Personally I love all these 'new for me' tracks, I think it makes better racing too as the guys need to figure things out instead of going to the same old tracks every year.
Halloween is a show off your personality thing and mine is subdued so no costume for me.

I'm hoping Mercedes stop pussying around and use the hard tire in Q2.

Does Italy change DST by 2 hours vs. the USA changing 1 hour? There have already been races this year where the starting time has been an hour earlier than the qualifying time. Eifel and Russia to name 2. That and the US dropping DST makes 2 hours. Not having many support races on the Sunday is one reason.

Who is Emilia Romagna? :-) Italy has already hosted the Italian Grand Prix and the Tuscan Grand Prix this year - now we're back and it's time to get up to speed with everything you need to know about the 2020 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, which takes place in Imola, over 63 laps of the 4.959-kilometre Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, former home of the San Marino GP, on Sunday, November 1. With the Italian GP taking place at Monza earlier this year, Imola's unexpected return to the F1 race calendar has been named after the area the circuit is located in.

Probably more accurate than the name the race used to have, which was the San Marino GP, which Imola is located near but not in (San Marino is small country within Italy similar to Vatican City as far as status).

Why no Friday Practice sessions this week? The overland travel distance (2400km) was judged to great to allow adequate time to set up the pits and prep the cars for Friday practice. Additionally there are borders to cross while dealing with the pandemic controls. Europe also has some pretty stiff rules on drivers and their hours behind the wheel. In a normal timeframe the pits are all set up and the cars in place on Weds. so that the teams can have the cars ready for legality checks on Thursday.

Surprised they didn't adopt the NASCAR model - Show up Sunday Morning, draw Q positions by lots and race.

Well if you went by points standing it would be the same as running qualifying

Does Italy change DST by 2 hours vs. the USA changing 1 hour? All of Europe changed to Daylight Savings Time last weekend. That means Italy is 5 hours ahead of the Eastern US Seabord instead of the normal 6 hours. However, before the Sunday RACE the USA will change to daylight Savings Time also, returning us to the 6 hour difference, or 7, or 8, or 9 (depending where you live.)
