Do you think drag racing needs SAFER Barriers? Do you think they should be at every track or just national event tracks? Just curious.

I would like to see extensive testing, particularly on dragster and funny car impacts, before I'd be comfortable

They would really reduce the racing surface. John Force needs all the track he can get.

I don’t think you see the same “angles of attack” on a drag strip that you do on an oval.
Then again I’ve never experienced hitting a guard rail on a strip. So far.

Yeah, almost all of the hits I've seen would be considered glancing blows on other types of tracks. (although I'm sure they don't feel like glancing blows)
Mainly the cars don't get a running start at the wall like they would if a car was running the low line at Talladega and then blew a right front tire.
