Agreed... The race for second place kept you on the edge of your seat until the end...

I managed to DVR a late night replay of the race and yeah, it was pretty good. The thing I don't like about most of them is that they are basically parking lot races. It would be nice to see them run on a real track.
Also, I noticed that it has a unique name in my Dish program guide (Formula E?) instead of the generic "Motorsports" label. Now I can set it up to record new episodes automatically, though I failed to do so this time. I'll have to do it when the next race comes around.

The circuits being parking lot races is the core of the series' appeal. All the venues are within walking/short mass transit ride distance from a city and they get good crowds because of that. If they moved to traditional race tracks I fear not many people would turn up to watch.

If they moved to traditional race tracks I fear not many people would turn up to watch. I hear you and I understand the concept that being electric cars they are urban-centric. It makes sense and here in Key West there are gobs of E-scooters/bikes/cars/carts. I own two e-bikes myself and love them (the one I built is scary fast and the one I bought prebuilt gets great range). Advances, especially in battery technology, have made them very practical. That is evident in that they can run a whole race without changing cars.
No doubt they need to run the races near city centers, but I wish they would come up with more interesting layouts and backdrops. A little balance between drawing local spectators and television viewers could help overall appeal.

Super technical with tons of elevation changes and fast, very fast. The Paris track on the other hand is awful. I think they are planning to run the full Monaco GP circuit next year.

I have not seen the Rome circuit, but I intend to watch all of the remaining races this year. The full Monaco circuit is exactly the kind of thing that would pique my interest and I'm guessing many others' as well.

It was encouraging to see decent crowds at a legitimate road course in Mexico City - as well as good racing... So it is can be done, at least in certain countries...
