Why oh why do people want to relate Ferrari to Honda?

Because both companies started as racing companies who built production vehicles to fund racing. While Honda has changed and gone more mainstream over the years. They are both engine and engineering comapnies at heart.

It's like the FIA knows they are cheating and don't have the cajones to call them out on it.

It's like the FIA knows they are cheating and don't have the cajones to call them out on it. ...or the FIA knows Red Bull nor Mercedes has signed on to continue after 2020 and are playing up sympathies so they sign on the dotted line. The British media are just doing what they always do, lie for the slop eater homer interests.

Shame to see it raining on the Brazzos for P1. I always feel for the folks in the stands........ except in Austin. There I wish it would rain 17 days a week and 5 times on Sunday's.

Teams are saying that Ferrari is burning oil in the combustion chamber to create more power. The FIA is now asking for fuel flow and oil flow data to determine if teams are cheating. The focus is on Ferrari since they were slower and then all of a sudden gained miraculous speed. The FIA said "reminder you can't do this we are looking for it" And then Ferrari is all of a sudden slow again.
The rules have considerable "grey" areas and some teams drift a little to far into them, or over them, and this is the FIA clarifying those rules.

It's mostly about bad English food.

So the two top proponents of "a better world though hybrid technology" have now both been slapped back for "better racing though burning more fuel". The FIA must feel pretty used up by now.
