ACO BoP'd the competition to insure Poarsh win? I hope so. That is why I got one. Seems justified after years of appearing in public in an Alero.

Who's going to try to stay up for all 24 hours? I tried it once by myself; hard to do. I have to work for a while this time. I won't try to stay awake the whole time but I'll have the race on my TVs the whole time, including in the bedroom. I attended the Daytona 24h and stayed for the entire 24 hours (actually more than 24 hours since you have to get there early and visit the garages and stay after the podium ceremony). Note to the Daytona International Speedway: The race lasts for 24 HOURS! Everything closes at 11pm. Even the Patron Tequila bar closed at 11 (what tequila bar ever closes?)! Guest Services finally gave me a free cup of coffee at night.

Based on theoretical best lap times, Rebellion should hopefully be capable of 3:18s, which is reasonably close to what Toyota so far have turned.
It should be noted that one Toyota did 342km/h during FP1, with the SMP BR1s also quick, but the Rebellions are down on top speed. Combined with their sector 1/3 times, that shows that they're carrying a ton of downforce.

Just set my DVR a little while ago. It looks like it will catch the entire race.

Toyota is sand bagging. They ought to be able to match or eclipse last year's pole time easily. They should be able to beat the best LMP1 privateer time by at least 3 seconds easy.
Kind of hope both Toyotas blow up and the LMP1s go down the shitter opening the door for a P2 to break thru a win. Be awesome to see JPM capture the triple crown. I would be a very happy boy!

At this rate, between possible accidents/slow zones/FCYs and more frequent pit stops, I don't think that the distance record set in '10 is in any serious danger of falling.

It gets tough for an hour or two around 4:00 or 5:00am. The only issue for this race is that I somehow came back from Canada with some sort of sinus congestion/cough. I would normally just say "what the hell" and fight through it, but I need to make sure I don't still have a hacking cough next weekend when I'm going to see my favorite actress in an off Broadway play.

If I upgrade my cable service to HD and get a HD set top box - Velocity is 'available' I am already paying $110 a month for cable. What do want us to do about that? my monthly bill is $160. W/o internet or premium movie channels.

Good god, those Europeans sure love their regulation tweaks no matter how last minute.
The thing is I still do not think they have it right. And I am sure some, if not all, teams are still sandbagging a bit.

My Spectrum (ex Time Warner) is about 180, with phone, 200 mbps internet, every channel on the list plus HBO, Max and Showtime ^^ yes it is criminal. but it's easy. that's comcast for ya. :-) maybe $5 a month for HD. Maybe another $5 for the DVR. I use that all the time. To get F1 ya need the sports package or whatever it's called. Maybe $10 for that. My internet is cheap. A citi wifi thing. $25 a month for that. It only goes down for a few minutes once in awhile in a nasty storm. Seems I remember it being something like 25 m per second. fast enough to watch any clip on you tube. the phone is another $75. no land line but 2 devices. It's funny. I got a new iphone a few months back. for a buck a month they threw in a new ipad. but there was a $10 per month add to the bill for the 2nd device.

since the cable package includes velocity, the french race will be on for the next 24 hours. there's cappuccinos, ice mochas and young baristas to deal with. :-)
