What does it matter who won what at what age?

Rosberg is a WDC.

Verstappen isn't a WDC, and he has crashed in nearly every race weekend this season while his teammate has won twice. Verstappen may be talented but he clearly is not mentally ready for F1.

IMHO it's less about age than experience, max is still making rookie mistakes 4 seasons in. And if age IS a factor then he needs to go back to TR until he's "old enough" to drive for a top team.

It is in part about age - the human brain doesn't develop to its fully functioning self until about age 25. Max is making rookies mistakes because his brain development is still incomplete. The risk/reward segment of the brain is normally the last to develop. If anything the actions Max has been taking this year really demonstrates that his brain has not yet developed to the level where he can calculate the risk/reward of the moves he undertakes.
