RoGro makes way too many unforced errors. And while Hulk is not the best I think the team needs to get a new perspective. And Gunther will kill RoGro or himself if he is there for another season

Werhlien's days were numbered when Ocon got the Force India drive over him, not convincingly beating Ericsson at Sauber didn't help him either. Merc having Russel in the works sealed his fate.
Hulk's lack of motivation at Renault (according to Cyril) is not a good look for a guy looking for a new job, how will he fit into a team that's worse than the one he's on now? Yeah he's better than RoGro but what good is he if he only wants the drive just to stay in the sport?

I am wondering if after next season HAAS leaves F1.

Ferrari's said they're not giving up on Gio over at Sauber so Hulk may be SOL unless he's ready to crawl back to team Willy.

I think he's still better than RoGro though!! He has plenty of experience and although he's never won a race he's come close a few times and since money isn't the issue they can give him a 1 year contract to replace RoGro and if it doesn't work out for whatever reason they can move on to someone else the next year. Yep. There's zero doubt in my mind that even a supposedly 'unmotivate' Hulk would perform much better than GRO. Way to poison the F1 waters for Hulk btw, Ciril. Yeah, me too. Continuing with that shit driver pairing imho is just confirmation that either (a) Haas isn't really trying to improve their lot in F1 and are 'just happy to be there', or (b) they're winding this shit down & prepping for their F1 exit. Yeah the car is shit this year, but so are the drivers, esp Grosjean. They could have development continuity by just keeping one driver as their baseline, but they've thrown up their hands & just confirmed both guys in mid-September in a still fluid driver market. Crazy. The rest of this season & next year when KMag & GRO are running into each other (& others), the reactions from the Haas pit wall should be entertaining AF. Re: the car, it was great in Oz, just like last year & every year, but then it progressively fell off as everyone else improved, just like last year & every year. Maybe they need to get some help (or the owner's manual) from Ferrari in developing their car as the year progresses.

Given that the driver market will be especially active next year it's likely that Haas was not looking at a driver on more than a one year contract. Hulk may think he's worthy of more than a year.
As far as Haas dropping out. Liberty will bend over backwards (as they did for Racing Point) to keep that team in play no matter what name is at the top.

Oh I don't think the team itself will go away. Just Haas. And (definitely a big 'FWIW') Rich Energy is saying now that Haas is negotiating with Saudi investors to sell to them.

I think since day one the Brit press and fans have played Gene Haas to be less than sincere about his long term plans.

The problem for Hulk at Alfa is that beyond next year Alfa's plans may include Mick Schumacher.

The problem for Hulk at Alfa is that beyond next year Alfa's plans may include Mick Schumacher. If Williams is off the table then becoming Alfa's reserve (and a Ferrari simulator driver) may be his best bet, Kimi isn't gonna last forever and Gio's chance of wearing red looks remote at best.
