Such a debacle of monumental scale, and of all teams for this to happen to, poor Williams.

It looked to me that these were NOT welded down at all but instead they were being screwed down with an expanding locking mechanism and the few shots they showed they ALL seemed to need tightening!! I think they will need an Engineer to figure out how to keep them tightened and still have them flat to the ground so the cars scraping along don't hit them. I thought of a lock or pin so they can't loosen but my idea had it sticking up above the cover and that just won't work. Redesigning 300+ covers won't be cheap or fast I'm afraid.
AND THEN the tow truck hit a fricking bridge and leaked hydraulic oil all over the back of the car on the way back to the pits!! Williams will be cleaning that stuff up for the whole weekend!!

This has happened before, at Monaco, and other places. It will happen again. Life isn't perfect.

Watching ESPNU on my TV through Comcast - presenting as stop action - chop chop chop. Smooth audio, stop action video - both on the F1 portion and the college football that preceded it.
Watching the coverage on ESPN3 and both audio and video are smooth. WTF?

Most of this clusterhump was worthy of a facepalm. But I did get a little chuckle when the Williams guys pulled screens in front of their garage.
I was thinking, "Don't worry, dudes. Nobody is interested your secret parts except to know what not to do".

It's my opinion, and mine alone that FP2 was very entertaining. This circuit makes the drivers work very hard. Seeing the ass ends of the cars hanging out and drivers running off was such fun....IMO.

Watching the coverage on ESPN3 and both audio and video are smooth. WTF? I've gotten to know a regional Comcast tech pretty well, and I've learned that all sorts of issues can affect your service... As an example, last summer I kept having the same group of channels (they call them "pods") dropping out or coming in broken up... Comcast finally tracked it down to a damaged "open" connection to another home in my general area... No one was living in the home to report a problem, so Comcast had no way of knowing about it... To locate the problem they had to go around climbing poles and checking in ground boxes to inspect every service "drop" in the area...
The bottom line is that cable service isn't perfect, but neither is satellite...

In the one shot of Ocon he wasn't smiling anymore. When last seen neither was Kvyat.
Only thing to be seen in the Racing. pits was Daddy's back.

so the team that can least afford to build another car gets drilled by a manhole cover. WTF. ya can't make this s+++ up. How about the irony that it was dislodged by the team that could buy team Willy with the loose change lost in the sofa cushions back at the factory.

Forget about bernie's sprinkler, DRS gimmicks and revised regulations, you want good racing? Just let a half dozen sand filled tri axles with loose tailgates do a lap or two before the start.
