Well that was weird. The race was on at a decent West Coast time and Bottas won. So I'm confused, but let's go with it. A Honda was on the podium for the first time since Twobens back in 2008 or somemurt. We have 3 cars in one class and then the rest. Apparently Williams is trying to finish off Kubica. Mclaren exists - go Lando! Go Haas.

.....and some slow ugly red dodges! The flat red finish is creating drag I kind of like the flat red. I realize this is an unpopular opinion.

To me in bright sunshine it really doesn't differentiate that much from the previous gloss finishes. We'll see how it shows up in a night race, the Renault's matte yellow from a couple of seasons ago really popped under the lights.

ESPN stunk up Oz's qualifying with some ridiculously ill timed commercial breaks, I'll be sure watch Bahrain on the app.

Will Renault screw their front wings on tighter for this race?

.....and some slow ugly red dodges! The flat red finish is creating drag That was the prevailing theory at the race too, them saying it 'saved weight' was just a ruse and they were copying Red Bull in trying to the get the airflow to stick to the car so they can control it, instead of slide past it. 100 grams of weight savings isn't as much as one winglet falling off or one rear underfloor vane coming off as they go over the curbs.

Hold it a minute that little broken underfloor vane will cost you 20-30 seconds in race time and is the most important piece of kit on the whole car. That is an equivalent 50 hp reduction rated part. Toto says.

Excuses, excuses - everybody has excuses except Bottas!

Is it an excuse if it is being made by a competitor that benefited from it?

Is it an excuse if it is being made by a competitor that benefited from it? If they didn't WIN - anything is an excuse!

3 DRS zones? One can only hope the world's best drivers can find a way to pass with their sails furled 3 times. Pray for favorable winds.

Toto says. The crack on the floor was worth 5 seconds. The crack on Hamilton's head the 25 second balance
