Worst part is that Bottas was lapped and he still managed to lap Hulkenberg in 6th. Max was lapping car in the top ten before half distance, freaking ridiculous! Going back to the 'glory years' of F1. Only thing different today is that 3/4 of the field isn't DNF for mechanical reasons.

Congratulations to Hamilton and Mercedes. I know the man isn't too popular around here, but he did earn it. He was fast, disciplined, and nearly mistake free. A very "Shumacher" like performance. Congratulations to Max. Wicked fast and maturing quickly. He's already become a force to be reckoned with. You auditioning for the LuLu fluffer job at Sky? That's a nasty crack brother, but no, I'm not a fan of Hamilton. Just stating facts. So maybe you should just chill out.

Seems like Ocon always bangs wheels or stuffs his nose where it doesn't belong on the first lap.

And you're partly right about Max, he is definitely a force to be wreckoned with.

Congrats to Hamilton on a fifth title. Made a demon start and was good to see him not back out of it. True racing driver. Also good to see him get passed. Always good to see Mercedes get relegated after so many years of lopsided dominance. (Of course they had several years of humility too!) Glad to hear the radio transmission of him complaining about the tires the team gave him. Shows his whiny side just like Vettel's. He will be in the top echelon of World Champions by virtue of this 5th title, but the comparisons cannot be reasonably made. His gifts are his own, just as the others are theirs. The cars, reliability, teams, resources, seasons and tracks are not really comparable in the slightest. There is no point in trying to compare such disparate qualities.
Observations on the race:
Have to wonder about Ricciardo and his car/engine issues throughout the season. Not sure, but it almost looked like Horner stifled a smile upon his demise. The unwanted child leaving the family fold since they have their future champion with his own "Bottas" in the wings. Is Daniel wondering about his Renault power-unit issues (curse) and the wisdom of walking into the Lion's mouth?
What thoughts were in Vettel's mind when Coulthard queried him about when he felt the title slipped away, (besides -- fuck-off asshole)? Quickly side-stepping the "never-a-champion" buffoon, he congratulated Hamilton and I was wondering just what (mind games?) he said to Lewis before mussing Hammy's troublesome top-knot, whereupon Lewis looked a bit disheveled and quickly implored the hat-toting fluffer to give the necessary "cover-up". Having an insider's advantage as to the Ferrari team's political wranglings and not just the aftermath of this year's debacle, but what he's likely to face next year. Could clearly see the reality and gravity of the consequences of this year's campaign on his face, realizing the lost opportunity of what was his and Ferrari's best chance against the might of the Mercedes/Hamilton combination. Replacing his teammate with an relatively inexperienced yet impressive young driver can't impart much confidence for a strong teammate that he can count on. Coupled with his team Principal's uncertainty for 2019, it doesn't bode well.
Knowing that he is capable of winning on his day, what must Kimi be thinking as he's relegated to the junior varsity team? Perhaps the odd opportunity to show the Scuderia they made yet another mistake? Sad.
Will Honda come into their own next year with Red Bull and Max? Seems like they're making better strides now that they've got better feedback from Toro Rosso than McGimp was ever able to offer, but is this going to be yet another "learning year" before they can compete with Mercedes/------Ferrari?
Will anyone be able to topple the Mercedes juggernaut? Or is a 6th title on the cards for Lewis?
A couple of suggestions to Hamilton; lose the facial hardware, piercings, earrings. They really don't suit you. Tell Will Smith to Fuck Off! You don't need that sycophantic dip-shit yelling on your radio about "---doing it how I taught you---". You may well like the pervasive pop culture mentality of all of these asshole douchebags that you "hang" with in your off time, but don't denigrate the sport by bringing them into your team's garage imparting an opportunity to regale you and unfortunately the rest of us with their brand of wisdom. You know all about the Celebrity mindset of superior thinking and how everyone needs to listen to their advice on how to vote and whom to trust etc. etc. Had a good laugh post-race at the expressions on the faces of Toto and Jeff Gordon in the team's garage. They both looked like the team chef made a shit sandwich for them to choke down. Simply incomprehensible that MB just couldn't even make the podium much less being lapped!

Personally I thought the question by Coulthard was a bit much seeing as Seb had just stepped out of the car. I don't think Seb had a lot of time to consider where in the season he lost the title (though he did discuss it later).

sounds like ricci is ready to scotch the last 2 races. www.autosport.com/f1/news/139735/ricciardo-no-point-racing-cursed-car"Honestly, now where I am, I don't see the point of coming on Sunday, I don't see the point of doing the next two races. "I haven't had a clean race or weekend in so long. I'm not superstitious or any of this bullshit, but... the car's cursed. I don't have any more words." "Just things are happening on Sunday which I've got no more explanation for. The car... I'll let Gasly drive it, I'm done with it."

the ded cows have had this type of problem since seb raced for them. seems they can usually get one car to make it thru a race. when seb was there it was usually webbers car that failed. now days it's usually ricci's car that fails. :-(

LP is just a little grumpy and "out of sorts" since his Dodgers had a tough World Series... He should be better by Thanksgiving or so...
