well, it's near some salt... 1928 daytona beach record run - ray keech (white triplex 3 v-12 liberty engines 1 front 2 rear side-by-side) 207.55 mph

Keech refused to do a second run so a garage owner named Lee Bible with no experience got in the car. He and a camera man were killed in the wreck.

The Golden Arrow was a land speed record racer built in Britain to regain the world land speed record from the USA. Henry Segrave drove the car at 231.45 mph in March 1929 on Daytona Beach, beating the previous record by 24 mph.
