We had seats in turn four, and saw AA on AA violence by all four drivers at different times.
Over a nearby scanner we heard Michael tell somebody "They will not be talking to you." Then over the team channels the boys were all called into Michael's office.
To be a fly on the wall...
Our section was taking bets on which AA driver leaves unemployed from a race this year, like happened last year.
Besides that comedy break, it was a great day at the track. Love that set of bleachers, great racing and the long walk keeps the crowd to a very manageable level. I'd never been to MidO when I wasn't working the rescue truck. It was much better, being able to knock down "some" beer and not be on the edge waiting for someone to eat shit all weekend. Nice start-to-finish by Scotty Mac.

"...a 60-year-old relic of a racetrack located in the middle of Ohio." Nice, WaPo, nice...

I’ve never seen a team have more unforced errors than the 26 team. It was like that when Marco drove it, too. Pissed away several wins with hilarious strategy goofs and miserable pit luck.

We were set up under the trees in Turn 1, but I always walk the course to take pictures and chat with people for about half the race. The lines for food and drinks were at least twice as long as last year. Huge crowd.

The older guy with the random merch tent is retiring after this year, so I had to make another stop in there. Ended the weekend with a 1984 McLaren Keke Rosberg pin from him plus JJ and Alonso diecasts, a 2016 Marco shirt, a new race event shirt, a new JJ hat and a 1992 Little Al Valvoline media kit.

"...a 60-year-old relic of a racetrack located in the middle of Ohio." Nice, WaPo, nice... Well it doesn't have any VIP Private Suites with A/C and catering with 'servants' at the occupants beck and call. [/sarcasm] What is a poor writer to do?

That sort of says it all...

Looking at the NASCAR Truck race from M-O. Attendance is nothing compared to the crowd IndyCar had.

The NASCAR turds on a road course? Not so much...

Actually it wasn't a bad race. A NON GYC ending - that was a corner to corner race for the final 3 lap. Understand that trucks are minor league compared to IndyCar.

I said that people aren't going to flock to the track to see these trucks waddle around.

The Trucks and ARCA use to pack the house at Mansfield Speedway a couple miles up the road, and a road course tends to spread people out over the acreage. They're third and fourth tier NASCAR series, it would be interesting to see the attendance numbers. If it wasn't the week after IndyCar, we might have went.

I am surprised that M-O scheduled them on back to back weekends.
