Some aggressive 'draft braking' Apparently they don't use the "one move" rule. I thought the same. :-) That was some crazy s+++.

No move made was in reaction to the car behind. The moves made behind him were in reaction to the first move made by the leader. That is exactly how you break the draft.

Grass to the wall and back multiple times on the long straights.

Better yet, finish the race under yellow and you wouldn’t have an artificial finish where the driver who deserves to win doesn’t resort to risky (but legal) tactics. Clearly the way I see it is correct seeing as Ericsson is the winner. Maybe you should email IMS, and Indycar race control, and point out where they are wrong. I’m sure you will convince the powers that be. Indy star posted an article on what Ericsson did and how it’s legal. I suggest you read it.

I am not saying he was wrong to do it or that it was forbidden by the rules - all I am saying is that it was the most energetic draft breaking that I have seen. And I didn't want to see 4 laps of yellow flag running. Maybe IndyCar should throw a Red for every incident that will require multiple laps of track clean up before going racing again, rather than just following the pace car round and round.

Throw a red every time? Yeah, with their typical 2 hour window to get a race in? Good luck clearing that with NBC. Ending under yellow is part of racing. I’m just not into WWE on wheels, we have NASCAR for that.

If JJ had walled it a lap later - a race to the finish would not have been possible. I don't believe Yellow Flags should be extended so ALL cars can pit for fuel/tires/repairs. Clear the incident and go racing. In fact I don't think there should be Yellow Flag pit stops at all. All pit stops should take place under Green Flag conditions.

I don’t like the artificial reds either especially when drafting is involved. It is nice to have some forced excitement but equally disappointing to watch the proper winner get robbed. Ex f1 last year
