the new way things are looking, the new motors for the mercs are really quick, but they degrade , rather quickly. With a 5 grid place hit lulu could take a new one every race, take the 5 grid place hit and win the remaining 3 races and the titles. The ICE's they have now are turned up enough to survive the last 3 races and win the title, Merc played the game brilliantly. |

Nothing wrong except F1 (Ross) trying to oversell it as something it isn't. As entertainment it's fine. In the long run I expect Fri. to become less of a factor again as a quali won't ever be as significant. The new regulations could change everything. Who under sells anything they want anyone to buy? It's basic marketing. I expect reverse top ten grids in the Sprint. Lewis did an amazing job of over selling that idea on Saturday.  |

The problem for me is the way they have 2 pole positions and 2 'races' but one isn't a race but still has a pole that then creates the pole for the net race. I also dislike that some penalties get done away with in the Sprint race but others don't, if it's not a race you shouldn't be able to serve your penalties in it for the race. No penalties were applied to anyone in the Sprint. One driver didn't qualify so he had to start from the back of the grid. Ham's failure to qualify was due to a penalty which stripped him of his lap time! In my reality, that is a penalty!  |

I swear the FIA could not properly organize/officiate a one float parade down a one way, dead-end street.

Bottas getting ready for Brazil.  Thought the current ICE's were V6's - that looks to be an I4 or a bank of a V8. That's at the AMG factory. He's building an engine for a road car. |

Oh, by the way, I am feeling much better now after a trip to the store for some liquor. I failed to prepare for the race with adequate 'stress-relief' on hand. But, I sure do miss Hobbs and Matchett. And Bob Varsha too!  |

I don't like Max or Lewis, so meh. I'm not far from that but think Max is better right now than Lulu is and Lulu keeps thinking he should be given a break every time he does something wrong just BECAUSE he's the current WDC. Lulu still has skills but so do Seb and Fred and just like Seb and Fred Lulu's are diminishing as he gets older. Lulu's big advantage has been the car he's in and Merc's ability to give him one that he can use to his and it's utmost ability. Not that Max is driving a hoopdee but he is driving the shit out of that thing, if they could just make the back squat when the DRS wing opens I think they would be as fast as the Merc's. |

Breaking news the guy with the fastest car all weekend won the race..... You could also argue the sprint race also saved his ass, he would have probably finished second if this was a normal weekend. Was that any different than last weekend? The guy with the fastest car all weekend won the race. So what's your point? Oh, that's right, this mostly applies to Hamilton.... |
