Traffic will not be a factor. Especially with a hefty lead. Rossi will have to settle for 3rd.
DIXON BECOMES A 3-TIME WINNER AT TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see that as his fault, he had a run, Power moved up...it's a racin' deal... It is a rookie sticking his nose in where someone with experience can see what the result will be - and it was. You are wrong...again

As of this win, Scott Dixon officially passes Michael Andretti for most career wins (43 overall).

These cars are not meant for ovals. It’s kind of boring to watch. Rossi was clearly faster than Pagenaud and couldn’t do anything about it. I honestly found the race pretty boring.

After being exposed to the motor-mouth announcers on Sky Sports this season, I find Diffey is no longer annoying...

To each his own, I guess... I found the race to be enjoyable... Being faster then the other guy isn't the same as being fast enough to complete a pass... For several laps I was glued to the screen, wondering if Rossi could complete the pass this time...? What more can ask of a race...?

I think that's to be expected from a spec series... One has to admit it was much better than last year's crash fest...

It is a rookie sticking his nose in where someone with experience can see what the result will be - and it was. doesn't matter if he's a rookie or not. He was faster, had committed to a lane and Power moved over on him. Power will learn that there're other people capable of flipping two birds at a time.

Power sort of took the blame for it in the post race interview - said his spotter wasn't able to let him know there was a car above him in time (or something like that).

The kid didnt need to be making a high risk pass at that pinch point where they drift up to the wall. Power Should have given him room. The car has mirrors

After being exposed to the motor-mouth announcers on Sky Sports this season, I find Diffey is no longer annoying... I won't go that far, but he's not as bad as he used to be. Maybe he was told to tone it down a little.

I'm always late with my comments as I don't get to the race til Sunday evening. (And I'm no good typing on my phone.) So..
It reminded me of the CART races, which I mean in a good way. And which everyone has been saying they wanted. If I recall it would often happen that someone got hooked up and ran away from the field? And there was often a small number of cars on the lead lap at the end? And passing was a little harder? But the driving was wonderful to watch. And when a pass was made it meant something. Or am I misremembering?
Sure, some folk are still getting used to the new aero. And some people had bad luck last night. But I enjoyed the race. I also appreciate that Carpenter put his hand up; and that Power kinda did a well.
