^^ I caught the last of it, the gator nationals I think, on the tube today. Top fuel, Funny car and pro stock. :-) A question. What kind of engines to the pro stock cars run. They mentioned 500 cid max. Are they all running hemi's regardless of the body style? 50 / 60 years back when I was paying attention, the 427 fords were hot. The 427 chevy's maybe less so, and the hemi's, the 426 versions were maybe the best. Of course this is all from memory. And we all know how that works for me. :-)

It makes for a great finish line picture when all 4 are within 2 feet of each other.

My local strip, Dragway 42 had four lanes when it was built. They races āslicksā on one lane and ātreadsā on the other. I remember when they had national events there. But what really made an impression on a young Spin growing up was the Rick Case Honda Appreciation Days. Topless women standing on the backs of bikes going down the strip. That was nothing compared to the pitsā¦
Those days were gone before I was old enough to really enjoy them. The 70ās were a different timeā¦

Really close call at Charlotte yesterday in the Pro Stock Bike races.
Somebody in Lane 2 couldn't get stopped and come flying to the end of the track.
The dumb-ass official who wasn't paying any attention didn't warn Kelly Clontz and she almost got t-boned.
