Saw the Kaiser crash, is it me or does it seem the cars are getting too much air under them in a crash like when the aero kits 1st was introduced? I get the feeling somebody is gonna flip this weekend.

Watching Fast Friday Happy Hour on my Indy Car Gold Pass.
Lot of deceiving times. I think the pole will go 229/230 but if it is hot tomorrow, 229 might do it.

I think 225 will be good enough to get into top 30. Some guys who put up big tow laps actually struggled with their no tow laps. Sato is one I think. He topped 230 today, with an assist, but his best no tow lap was like 222.
I watched Rossi today, He looked very stout on his own. He was pretty consistent running in the high 228s, 229s.

^ They're making a big mistake trying to milk every last dime from this race, IMO. They should make it MORE available, not less. This golden goose won't survive much more choking.

Final practice is over. It gets real at 11 am!
Surprised only a handful of drivers took part. Alonso was quickest at 228. Jordan King and Ben Hanley were running around 226-227.
Two drivers in big trouble, imo, are Pat O'Ward and Kyle Kaiser. O'Ward was in Chilton's spare and brushed the wall in turn 3. He could only muster a 224. Kaiser in the spare Juncos car could only reach 225. They got a lot of work to do.
Surprised that Karam, Chilton, Mann, and Servia were not out. None of those drivers posted, what I would call, off the hook no tow laps yesterday. If it is hotter and greasier today, then I can see a 1-2 mph drop off. If the wind picks up, then it will be even more of a challenge to find that 228.
The guys on Gold Pass said they think it will take 228 to make the field. I am skeptical about that. Maybe a handful can do 230 but the drop off in speed between the first lap and fourth lap seems to be around 1-2 mph. The key will be the driver who can minimize that drop off to less than a half a mph.
I think it will be a crapshoot for the fast 9. Daly, Rossi, Carpenter, Jones go out early so we shall see. Newgarden, RHR, Frappo, Veach go out later so it could be tough. Gonna be a frantic final hour to see who gets in so some guys may get just one shot today.
Also, O'Ward is officially a Red Bull driver now. He was wearing a new helmet decked out in Red Bull logos this morning.
I think the last row party is going to be O'Ward, Kaiser, Hanley, Chilton, Mann, and King. I think Alonso, Davison, and Servia could take someone's place there. There could be a surprise participant too. Rosenqvist is the one I think could be vying for the last row. Not sure what his confidence is like and he wasn't tearing it up since his crash.

I understand what you mean but, I am telling you, the Gold Pass is the best 50 bucks I might have ever spent and it has definitely paid for itself this month.

We get something like 300 satellite channels because there a few that we like that only come with the upper tier packages. I probably never watch more than 20 or 30 of them in total.
Screw those greedy bastards. I'm not paying any more.

I am slowly moving towards streaming. DirecTV I spend 178/month and maybe less than 20 channels I watch. If I can get more 4K and all the major sporting events, I may. G/f has DirecTV Now and pays 40 a month but her stream, despite having 100 mbps, conks out on her sometimes and has to re-start it. Did that during GoT last week and was like WTF!? Fix it! Fix it!🤣
