I suspect this will be an unpopular opinion among the Tifosi, but I think Ferrari is going to be in the desert for a few more years. What's the problem?
The problem is management. I, personally, don't think the problem with Vettel was Vettel over the last few years. It's just that Ferrari did not pair him with the right personnel. So, he never got a chance to show what he was capable of doing as a race-car driver. Did he make mistakes? Of course he did. But again, and I'm not excusing his performances last year, he never had the full force of a Ferrari team firing on all cylinders. I don't think Sainz and Leclerc are the answer. I think for the next few years those two drivers will be like Jean Alesi and Gerhard Berger in the 90s... maybe win a few races but never, ever win a championship.
It's sad to say. but for the next few years Red Bull and Mercedes are going to dominate F1.

It's sad to say. but for the next few years Red Bull and Mercedes are going to dominate F1. I tend to agree, I don't think Ferrari isn't trying to win, they are just doing the same old things in the same old way without embracing any of the 'eureka' moments that come their way. I think they are trying to make everything they are doing perfect to the nth degree but they are missing the Newey aero things or the DAS way to warm up the front tires without wearing out the rear tires in the process. I think they are hyper focused on what and how they are doing what they do but no one is sitting on the outside saying 'what if' to come up with the next wonder thing. Yes they went down the engine route last year and it failed, but they HAD to know it would at some point although I do applaud them for trying. In short the old saying 'if you aren't cheating then you aren't trying hard enough or winning' is not the new way Ferrari thinks, they are trying to stay strictly within the limits of the rules as they interpret them and it just isn't working. I think they need another Team Boss who is not so much a Technical Engineer as much as a Leader of men who is smart enough to make the decisions needed for them to take the next step to stay ahead of Red Bull and beat Mercedes.

Weird to see a race day without fans. Feels like preseason testing.

so it looks like the stewards tried to do a whitewash. but the bulls protested, had more film or whatever, and won the case. all this makes me want to vomit.

So what will happen first? HAAS leaves F1 or solves its brake issues.
