Mat Oxley Zarco missed putting the only non-European motorcycle into the Q2 session by 0.011s. He's once again far and away the best Honda rider - he's already getting same parts etc as the Repsol riders but Honda really need to listen to him about how to extend his limits

Mat Oxley Sprint: Martinator martinated, BB looked short of rear tyre from lap 5, AE & Aprilia stronger lap by lap, PB will show what he can really do when there's 25 points up for grabs, MM still not fully confident on Ducati in fast corners, hence running wide, but came back strong

I'm just happy live tv coverage is available again here in the States. How 'bout in Canada? I subscribe to the Dorna feed for both MotoGP and WSBK. It's what you read on this thread. Each is about $150 per year so I hope you enjoy what I share. I prefer streaming to TV. My sweetheart watches the TV in the living room and I watch the races at bizaar hours on my computer. Last night the stream ran from 2am to 9am, which is normal. I started doing this after we lost Speed TV and there was a sense of the refugee when Dzu started Tifosiland Lounge. Rich and I have kept that going by the way. Tifosiland dissolved into negative and racist posts and Dzu started this forum, continued today by Pistola and others. Some of us go back quite a long way around here.

Alex Marquez smashes lap record ahead of Martin and Bagnaia Alex Marquez has become the quickest rider ever to lap the Lusail International Circuit in a thrilling Practice session It was a battle for the Q2 slots in MotoGP™ Practice, with an all-out time attack at the end of the session. Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) ended the session quickest, after smashing the all-time lap record by over half a second, in a new era for MotoGP™ as the Championship switches to sustainable fuels. Prima Pramac Ducati’s Jorge Martin was just 0.010 behind, setting his best time on his final fast lap. Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) ended the session in third, at the Lusail International Circuit. Fellow Italian and reigning World Champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) completed a late fast lap to end the session in fourth, finishing ahead of Aprilia Racing’s Maverick Vinales who had technical issues with his first bike. Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) ended the session in sixth, earning his spot in Q2 on his debut weekend. Magical Martin storms to pole in Qatar The Spaniard set an unbelievable lap to claim a new lap record and a 14th MotoGP™ pole position ahead of Espargaro and Bastianini Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Ducati) will start the first Grand Prix of the year on pole position, setting a magical 1:50.789 - becoming the fastest rider ever to lap the Lusail International Circuit. Aleix Espargaro completed a stunning lap to Qualify in second position, just 0.083 behind Martin. Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) rounded out the front row in a brilliant result for the Italian. You could feel the tension in Q1 with Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse Racing) setting a great time early on, which is why, I guess, it took hours to post the results. This time would be good, it would place Fernandez into Q2. Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) also sneaked through to Q2 after a late lap in Q1 allowed him to go 0.010 faster than Johann Zarco (CASTROL Honda LCR), in an extremely close session with the top four separated by 0.128. Q2 is finally here The first Q2 session of the year began, with excitement brewing to see how fast every team, rider, and manufacturer could go. After the first run, Jorge Martin was the fastest rider circulating, setting a remarkable 1:50.789 on his second lap. Ducatis locked out the top five positions early on, with Miller and Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) hoping to find time on their second run. In the closing moments of the session red sectors were everywhere with the pace beginning to heat up as Aleix Espargaro jumped into second – unable to match Martin’s time. Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) went into fourth, as Raul Fernandez crashed at turn six, ending his Qualifying early. Heading the second row will be Brad Binder with the #33 ending the session just 0.38 from the front row of the grid. Alongside Binder will be reigning World Champion, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) who starts from fifth. Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) rounds off the second row, whose Ducati debut becomes one step closer. Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) will head the third row of the grid, in front of rookie Pedro Acosta who will start eighth. Alex Marquez will round out the third row after he couldn't replicate his time in Practice. Meanwhile, Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) and Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) did not make it to Q2 and are forced to start 15th and 16th.

Masia leads a lonely Practice 1 in Qatar The Spaniard leads Practice 1 on his debut weekend ahead of his teammate Bendsneyder on a very wet Lusail International Circuit! It was a slow start to the Moto2™ Practice 1 session as rain started falling just before the bikes went on track. Xavier Artigas (KLINT Forward Factory Team), Aron Canet (Fantic Racing), and Bo Bendsneyder (Pertamina Mandalika GAS UP Team) were some of the riders who ventured the conditions on the Pirelli tyres. As a quiet session - which saw just four riders set a time - ended, it was Jaume Masia (Pertamina Mandalika GAS UP Team) who ended the season quickest, with lap times consistently getting faster. Bendsneyder finished in second to make it a Pertamina Mandalika GAS UP Team one-two in the wet, as Artigas claimed P3. Rounding out the riders who set times in Practice 1 was Alex Escrig (KLINT Forward Factory Team). In the dry Free Practice session, Fermin Aldeguer (Sync SpeedUp) narrowly beat Zonta van den Goorbergh (RW-Idrofoglia Racing GP) by 0.034s to top the opening session of the year, as Celestino Vietti (Red Bull KTM Ajo) in P3 heading into Saturday's crucial Practice 2.
