Go Chiefs! LOL I was in boots - no plaid. Chiefs toque. Yeah my two favorite teams are in the AFC CG, so I'm guaranteed a team I like in the Super Bowl. Can't believe the Bills stopped running with Allen, but I'll take it.

I went to the Daytona 24 with my 20 yo. First time to Daytona. Great time. Great facility and staff. Track run the way every track should be run, by people who care about the sport and the fans. Everyone we encountered is good at what they do and extremely helpful. They seem to take pride in it, which is nice to see these days. $80 for a Saturday/Sunday ticket including garage access. I called last week with a question about parking and my call was actually answered within a couple of rings by a gentleman at the track who told me DIS had arranged for free parking at the shopping mall across the street about a 5-10 minute walk from the T4 entrance. He recommended that option over DIS parking at $100 per car. Imagine certain other tracks doing that.
We had a great time. Stayed on Saturday until about 1230am and then went to the hotel in Deltona, about 20 miles away. Returned to the track at about 9am for the rest of the race. My kid got selfies with Guenther Steiner and Marcus Ericsson on pit lane before the race, and I'm pretty sure I met Ann Margret by the Dogleg when we were walking out after the race. It's astonishing the amount of abuse these cars take and just keep going. We watched 'em go hard for 11 hours straight, then went to the hotel and got a decent night's sleep. When we returned it was surreal to see them still just pounding around the track, knowing they'd never stopped all night while we were sleeping. Then they went on for 4.5 more hours. Abuse indeed.
Might go back, but if I do I'll fly. I'll never make that drive again.
Stayed Sunday night in Pensacola on the way home. We awoke feeling a little weird Monday. Both of us sick as dogs by the time we got home Monday night. Turns out it's covid, so ... isolating.

"Well," I say, "I'd like to go to Daytona to see the Rolex 24, and the best way to do it is by having a motorhome and living it up in the infield..." Wife goes: " ...Mmm...Hmmm.... yeah, ok...." That's her giving me approval, right?

That's her giving me approval, right?Sounds that way to me! And yeah, not having to leave the track is definitely the way to go. That;'s what I'd like to do next time. Thanks! Already pretty much 100%. Monday night was the worst of it. Just trying not to spread it to the rest of the family now.
