I can not wait to hear all of the people crying that they can not watch a race because they do not have Amazon. And they have a point. So now you have to pay to watch SOME of the races. How long until you have to pay to watch any of them? BTW is NASCAR would create a stream platform of their own and I could pay to watch races commercial free I would be all over that. Lets make that happen. Anybody that sets up something to be 'commercial free' will ultimately find themselves lacking revenues for what they set up to CONTINUE to be commercial free, and it will become commercial intense. How about the ESPN F1 Model, one sponsor for the entire broadcast. People say well that is because the F1 audience is so small. Ever watch World Cup Soccer? Supposedly the most watched sport in the world. No commercials. How does that work? Lets do that for racing.

Liberty is like the Drug Dealer giving the product to ESPN for less than market value, with the intentions of sucking in new viewers to attend the GP's at Miami, Austin and Las Vegas. There are many ways to liberate money from people.

That wasn't supposed to happen. If you believe the peanut gallery.
BTW I have to give NASCAR credit for getting a 7.7 billion out-of-a-6-year TV deal. Now watch and hear the teams bitching about not making any money.

And we think commercials have been overwhelming up to this point - Those making that deal are going to have to make money on the deal so now it will become 'We interrupt this commercial for some seconds of racing'.

If broadcasters can't run "side by side" or "Picture in Picture" during a race, then they don't deserve to broadcast NASCAR races period. Under Caution or Stage breaks? Run as many as you want. But during the race, then show both.

JGR announces their Xfinity line up: Sheldon Creed and Chandler Smith will race full-time for the team. Creed will pilot the No. 18 Toyota, while Smith will drive the No. 81 Supra, marking the first time the number has raced for JGR in the Xfinity Series since 2021 at Road America. Sam McAulay will serve as crew chief for Creed, and Jeff Meendering will sit atop the No. 81 pit box in 2024.
John Hunter Nemechek and Aric Almirola highlight the part-time roster, with the pair slated to split time in the No. 20 Toyota. Ryan Truex, Taylor Gray, William Sawalich and Joe Graf Jr. will race in the No. 19. Seth Chavka and Tyler Allen will serve as crew chiefs for the No. 19 and No. 20, respectively.
Trackhouse and Kaulig racing announced that Shane Van Gisbergen will be driving full time in the Xfinity season along side AJ Almindinder and part time in Cup. Think this team will be a threat on the road courses? Yep: Trackhouse Racing and Kaulig Racing partnered Wednesday to announce that Shane van Gisbergen will compete full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2024. In addition, it was announced SVG will take part in seven Cup Series races under the partnership.
The Matt Kaulig-owned team is set to field a full-time No. 97 Chevrolet entry for the 34-year-old New Zealander known as “SVG,” whom Trackhouse signed on Sept. 13 to bring his talents from the Australia-based Supercars Championship to NASCAR. The No. 97 is a nod to the car number he carried in winning three Supercars titles for the Red Bull Ampol Racing/Triple Eight Race Engineering team.

Juicy. When IROC first started it had some amazing races. Road Courses, and a wide variety of drivers from Can-AM, Indy cars, NASCAR, F1, and others. Of course towards the end it was bought by NASCAR and basically was a NASCAR series, and became lame and boring. I like Ray and he is involved with the SRX series as well, so he knows how to do a racing series. I would love to see this linked more with Indy car than NASCAR just for the variety of tracks. Should be interesting (I hope).

As soon as I saw the IROC series coming back, which I always enjoyed, realized it mimics Tony Stewart’s series SRX… Just saw the 2024 SRX series is cancelled 😥

Was never a fan of Paul Tracey… His antics in CART were enough to turn me off for life !! Then the talentless hack Marco Andretti, proof talent can skip a generation !! Both were nails in the coffin for SRX, now a similar series (IROC) trying to pull from the same drivers pool, plus TV time, and advertisers, seemed like both couldn’t survive 🥹

When Paul Tracey had his head screwed on right... which wasn't very often if at all. Paul Tracey was the fastest man on the racetrack.

Well Stafford Speedway still is, others have it as being cancelled. Bummer I was planning on going to one or two races this year.

A couple of my racing buddies bought or got tickets for Christmas… Their website says Absolutely No Refunds, and they are not answering the phone… But, it’s Tony Stewart so I’m sure he will do the right thing, probably just coming up with an escape plan to refund the $$$ !! 😎

Figures don't lie, but liars figureThe worst case is that once it lapses the teams can sell their rights to anyone. Teams want the charters to be permanent and they want more money. Well, Jim Frace has said in the past he doesn't want the charters to be permanent. One side says it is a 7% increase, the other 10 says it is a 10% increase. API (all parties involved) are lying to each other. Numbers can be made to say anything. let us also add the fact that the drivers want to be paid more. A NASCAR YTber said that he thinks (lots of salt taken here) that NASCAR wants cost caps. Why would anyone give the teams more money when in 5 years they can complain again about not having any? I hope they don't get a deal done. I want to see Hellfire and Brimstone. Both parties need each other and nobody is admitting it.
