IMO this looks very bad for Roger himself. I think some suspensions or even a few people getting fired outside of the penalty’s being handed down would save some face for Roger. Firing Cindric would be a good look.

I have no idea of what Malukas healing issues are. Broke the radius in my left arm at the wrist in July a decade ago. Had to be surgically repaired with a plate and six screws. It was initially thought it should have been healed by the end of September - it actually took until the end of December. We all heal at our own rates.

Yep, I’m having wrist surgery in a month and the recovery is anywhere from 3-6 months. That tells right there it’s not the same for everyone. I hope you are doing better now!!

Fortunately that all went down a decade ago. Haven't had any trouble with it since the surgery. Also got a Bennet's Fracture of my right thumb when I had a suspension failure at Sebring back in 2007, that required surgery to rebuild the base of the thumb. That happened in January and I was able to get back in the race car in May.

Little Davie didn't even get to race for them. I did not have this on my bingo card.

I'm thinking RHR might have a few more races than Indy this year. I know it's just a dream, but it'd be cool to see Lando moonlight for a race. Maybe Sam Bird gets a nod?

Terrible ratings for Barber. It’s a shame only 763,000 people watched a good race

With all of the corporations he runs, including the IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, I very seriously doubt he had anything to do with that. And the person who made that decision is gonna get remedial training. Blaming Roger is like blaming Elon Musk because a Tesla worker tossed a cigarette butt in a new Tesla.

Yes - if it gets to his attention he must instruct his minions to have it corrected as well as find out the individual who made the mistake originally and see that they get professionally flayed.

I was in management for over 20 years, and stuff that happened while I was on vacation was a reflection on me and my responsibility. That’s part of the job and is understood. That’s why companies need to be careful who they hire, because it ultimately reflects on them.

Not a lot of network coverage for the 500. Seems like less and less each year. Maybe I’m reading too much into this, but I think this is the last year for Indycar on NBC. I really think Fox is going to make a better offer since they have a lot of slots now open due to NASCAR’s new contracts. racer.com/2024/05/02/nbc-sports-details-indy-500-coverage-plans/

You never know when the races will be - early afternoon, late afternoon, night, Saturday or Sunday. With both of them it is we interrupt this string of commercials to present two minute of the race.

So breaking news. Indycar says that somebody, unamed, wanted put Trump/RFK Jr promotion on a car for the I500. They were turned down, and Indycar states that no political promotion of any kind wil be allowed on any car, period. How unusually sensible of them. Abel Motorsports have since pulled out of the 500.... Just sayin.

I’ve always thought he wasn’t the “good guy” he portrays, so I have my doubts about what he says. I’m sure he was brushing up his acting skills earlier this week. All I have to say is: “welcome to Indycar Josef.” Certainly Josef is no longer the humble kid racing for a small team like Fisher.... I listened to Pruett's "special edition" podcast regarding this and MP basically says Josef has very few friends in the paddock these days. Not just the other drivers either, within the team as far as mechanics, etc. I noticed a bit of a change after Indy last year is all I'm saying. This kinda reminds me of the Carl Edwards roid-rage days. (pure speculation)
